Use of personal data collected
We automatically and directly collect no data about you.

Comments
When you leave a comment on our website, the data entered in the comment form, your IP address and your browser’s user agent are collected to help us detect undesirable comments.
An anonymized string created from your e-mail address (also known as a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been validated, your profile photo will be publicly visible next to your comment.
Media
If you are a registered user uploading images to the website, we advise you to avoid uploading images containing EXIF data of GPS coordinates. Visitors to your website may download and extract location data from these images.
Contact form
You can choose to provide us with information when you fill in a form. This information will be sent to us by e-mail and will not be stored anywhere other than on our e-mail service; it will be used for the sole purpose of responding to your request. Use of cookies
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to and stored on your device.
In practical terms, a cookie enables us, for example, to recognize your browser, your language or to store your preferences.
Two types of cookies are used on our site: “session cookies” and “persistent cookies”.
Session cookies expire when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your device after you close your browser and can be used again the next time you visit our site.
Find out more at allaboutcookies.org.
Our cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you will be asked to save your name, e-mail address and website in cookies. This is only for your convenience, so that you don’t have to enter this information if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.
If you have an account and log on to this site, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will set a number of cookies to record your login information and screen preferences. The lifetime of a connection cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year. If you check “Remember me”, your login cookie will be kept for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookie will be deleted.
When editing or publishing an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data. It simply indicates the identifier of the article you have just modified. It expires after one day.
Third-party cookies
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves in the same way as if the visitor were visiting that other site.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking tools, track your interactions with these embedded contents if you have a logged-in account on their website.
We may allow certain business partners to install technologies on our site. These partners use these technologies to help us analyze how you use the site, such as by noting the third-party services through which you arrived on the Platform, to market and promote our services on our site and on third-party websites, to help us detect and prevent fraud or conduct risk assessments, or to collect information about your activities on the website.
Our website may use social plugins provided and operated by third-party companies, such as the Facebook “Like” button. As a result, you can send the third party the information you view in a particular section of our site. If you are not logged into your account with the third party, the third party will not know who you are. If you are logged into your account with the third party, then the third party will be able to link information or actions relating to your interactions with our site to your account with the third party. Please consult the third party’s privacy policy to learn more about their data practices.
The list of third-party cookies used on this site is available from the cookie management panel.
Statistics and audience measurement
In terms of analysis, we use Google Analytics to obtain information about the use of our website in order to improve it. You can deactivate this function from the cookie management panel.
To prevent Google Analytics from using your information for analysis purposes, you can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on here. Please note that we have no control over this deactivation link and are not responsible for the availability or accuracy of this mechanism. See this documentation for more information.
Data storage periods
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This makes it possible to automatically recognize and approve subsequent comments, rather than leaving them in the moderation queue.
For users who register on our site (where possible), we also store the personal data indicated in their profile. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (with the exception of their username). Site managers can also view and modify this information.
The rights you have over your data
If you have an account or if you have left comments on the site, you may request to receive a file containing all the personal data we hold about you, including that which you have provided to us. You can also request the deletion of your personal data. This does not include data stored for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Transmission of your personal data
Visitor comments can be checked using an automated undesirable comment detection service.
All the personal data we handle is processed in the heart of the European Union.
How we protect your data
We implement and constantly update site security to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction or alteration. We work to make your data as invulnerable as possible.
